Scindo has been selected to join the EIT Food Accelerator Network (FAN) 2026, one of Europe's leading agrifood and foodtech accelerator programmes. Scindo will participate in the Paris Hub cohort, focused on Biotech Ingredients, Products and Processes, delivered in partnership with Shakeup Factory.

The programme runs from September to December 2026 and brings together a selected cohort of high-potential startups from across Europe. Over the course of the accelerator, participating companies work on technology validation, go-to-market acceleration, and investment readiness, with direct access to the EIT Food innovation community, European research facilities, and industry partners.

Accelerating Scindo's Natural Flavour Platform

Scindo has joined the programme to accelerate the commercialisation of its natural flavour platform. Powered by AI-designed enzymes, the platform converts clean, natural feedstocks into natural flavour ingredients, offering a direct replacement for synthetic, petrochemically derived alternatives.

Scindo's cell-free enzymatic process produces natural lactone flavours, the compounds behind creamy and fruity profiles spanning coconut, butter, strawberry and peach, at lower cost, energy and complexity than conventional production routes.

Validating Technology with Industry Partners

Participation in EIT FAN provides Scindo with an ideal environment to accelerate its commercialisation timelines with potential customers and collaborators. The Paris Hub's focus on biotech ingredients and bioprocessing aligns well with Scindo's technology and its stage of development, positioning the company to move from validated technology towards commercial launch.

Scindo looks forward to working with the EIT Food team and the wider 2026 cohort, an exciting and innovative group of companies building the future of the European food system.
